Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Bringing Alolan Mon with the Celestial Guardians Expansion

Pokémon TCG Pocket is officially dropping the Celestial Guardians expansion this month. It will launch worldwide on April 30th, 2025. You get to hang out in the Alola region basking under its Sun and wandering under its Moon.

What’s New in Pokémon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians Expansion?

Celestial Guardians brings two new digital booster packs to Pokémon TCG Pocket. They are headlined by Solgaleo and Lunala. Lillie’s in there too, with a few other familiar faces from that era.

For collectors, this update is definitely a biggie. You get over 200 cards in the expansion, including Pokémon ex like Solgaleo ex and Lunala ex. You also get Alola’s starter trio—Rowlet, Litten and Popplio. Yep, they are finally making their way into the Pocket app.

Starting May 1st, you can flaunt your collection with a new Rowlet-themed binder cover and display board. On that note, catch a glimpse of the Celestial Guardians in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

What Are the Events?

Starting April 30th at 06:00 a.m. UTC and running until May 13th at 05:59 a.m. UTC, you can jump into some solo battles to score new promo cards. One of them features Rayquaza ex, the dragon legend.

Then there are special missions which will go live at the same time and stick around until May 29th at 05:59 a.m. UTC. These give you a chance to earn a different version of Rayquaza ex, along with some accessories and other rewards.

And last but not least, the Half-Year Celebration for Pokémon TCG Pocket is also coming up. It kicks off April 29th at 11:00 p.m. PDT, which is just hours before the new expansion lands.

Until May 12th, the solo battles will be handing out Promo Pack A Series Vol. 7 boosters. That’s where you’ll find one of the new promo cards, Rayquaza ex being the headliner there. The missions continue on through May 28th.
