You can start building your empire from scratch in the game. The game balances risk and reward during battles well. If your attack fails, you’re not left totally wiped out. Instead, your losses are capped at 25%, so you can regroup without losing your entire army.

On defense, you won’t lose more than 20% of your forces. So, even if your stronghold gets hit, you’ve still got something to fall back on. You can’t just mindlessly spam attacks and have to think things through.

You’ll be leading infantry, archers, and cavalry into battles across five different regions. Every choice you make matters. There’s an espionage system where you can train spies to mess with your enemies.

They do so either by stealing resources or just gathering intel to see how tough they really are. But if the enemy has watchtowers set up, your spies could end up getting caught.

On the progress front, you start with basically nothing and work your way up. You manage your troops and resources while also dealing with alliances and rival factions. You’re constantly building your empire, researching tech to boost your production and training more units to beef up your army.

Combat is a big deal in Simple Lands Online but so is managing your kingdom. It includes assigning workers, boosting production and figuring out how to make the most of what you’ve got.
