Wingspan Reveals Asia Expansion Release Date, and It’s Sooner Than You Think!

Monster Couch has finally revealed the launch date of its much-awaited Wingspan: Asia Expansion. The expansion is set to land on all digital platforms at the same time, which is on June 16th, 2025. This is the third expansion in the digital adaptation of the popular board game, following European and Oceania editions.

Another Ornithological Adventure Begins Soon!

The new Wingspan expansion dives deep into the rich and vibrant birdlife of Asia. You’ll see a lot of species that come with their own unique traits and tactical uses. The expansion adds 90 new bird cards to the already extensive deck.

And along with the birds, you get 13 fresh bonus cards. Two of them are designed exclusively for Automa, the game’s solo play system. Each card, true to the Wingspan format, features detailed information and facts about the birds.

The biggest addition that Wingspan: Asia Expansion brings, though, is the new Duet Mode. It’s made for two players and centres around a shared Duet Map. You compete by placing tokens to claim habitat spaces, while pursuing rotating round objectives.

How Does Wingspan Asia Look?

In just one word: beautiful! There are four new backgrounds inspired by various landscapes across the continent. You’ll also see eight new player portraits rooted in regional aesthetics and cultures. Catch a glimpse of the expansion in the latest date reveal trailer below.

Each session is atmospheric and personal, with the four new music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak. There’s also a revamped tutorial if you are new to the game.

Wingspan: Asia Expansion will be released simultaneously across Android, iOS, Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. It’s priced at $11.99 across all platforms.
